Eco-Art Club 2011
I set up a lunch time activity where once a week grade four students would have the opportunity to participate in a recycled art club run with the aid of grade 6 student volunteers. The objective of the activity was to promote the school's theme of environmentalism and to support the cycle three leadership program.
Pink Shirt Day 2012
To promote the school's goal of Anti-Bullying the students and I learned about two Nova Scotian boys: David Shepherd and Travis Price, and the Pink Shirt Day campaign they initiated. In an effort to practice kindness and acceptance the students and I made pink bracelets and wore pink shirts to symbolize that we do not tolerate bullying.
Activities Organizer 2013
My responsibilities included buying and decorating for the End-of-Year Student Appreciation party as well as organizing and decorating the staff End-of-Year Staff Appreciation party.
World Book Day 2017
In order to celebrate literacy and reading for pleasure, I initiated the school's first World Book Day. I created a compilation of literary activities for classrooms, ranging from making book-review bookmarks to character posters, which teachers could gain inspiration from to implement in their own classrooms, as well as organized a school wide "Give a book. Get a book" a used book exchange.
